About the role
This position is part-time, and could become full-time if the position holder is willing to travel to our other sites, including residential properties. Hours are flexible and can be negotiated. This position may also be suitable for evening and weekend work.
The main aspects of the position are to clean and provide upkeep for spaces and buildings; perform basic repairs; maintain cleaning supplies; operate cleaning equipment; clean CNC machines; cut metals; package and deliver goods to customers; collect and receive materials; and handle delivery paperwork.
Key responsibilities
- Make adjustments, and conduct minor repairs where appropriate and safe, on heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, alarm and electrical systems.
- Inspect, report and action building and ground repairs where safe and required, such as damaged fences, broken guttering, or cracks in walls.
- Clean internal areas within the factory and property as designated.
- Clean external areas as regularly as required, including leaves, litter, drains and gullies.
- Clean toilets and replenish toilet supplies.
- Obtain quotes for major repairs or refurbishments.
- Organise stocks.
- Cut metals and materials.
- Clean CNC machines, including swarf.
- Check in materials and goods from suppliers.
- Deliver goods to customers.
- Handle delivery paperwork.
